The Qlever Company is an Indiana-based consultancy that specializes in software engineering and research services tailored to agriculture and other industries. Our team has extensive software design and research expertise, allowing us to provide innovative solutions to our clients. Aaron Ault

Aaron Ault serves as a lead architecture and implementation strategist for the Qlever team. As both Vice President of Ault Farms, Inc., a Midwestern farming operation encompassing 3,200 acres of corn and soybeans and 3,000 head of beef cattle and as Co-Founder and Senior Research Engineer of the Open Agriculture Technology and Systems (OATS) Center at Purdue University, Mr. Ault has extensive experience in both agriculture and software engineering. Aaron has been intensively engaged in the creation, architecture, and evangelization of open-source interoperability frameworks within the agricultural industry.

Servio Palacios

Servio Palacios is a Computer Scientist and Fulbright alumnus. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University. Servio’s research interests include graph theory, graph databases, distributed systems, edge computing, applied cryptography, operating systems, computer networks, distributed ledgers, blockchain, graph data science, confidential computing, and cybersecurity. Dr. Palacios has successfully executed NASA, Northrop Grumman, and Verus Research projects. Servio’s contributions include a novel certification framework and the invention of various terms in computer science.

Cyrus Bowman

Cyrus co-founded the company after graduating with a degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 2014. His full-stack development abilities include expertise in UI/UX design and mobile and web application development. When he’s not coding, Cyrus can be found behind the wheel of a tractor on his family farm near Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Andrew Balmos

Andrew Balmos brings a wealth of experiences and knowledge in IoT/edge computing and data systems to the Qlever team, e.g., his current role as Data/Software engineer for Purdue University and project lead of the OATS Center ISOBlue edge device and Avena systems and data pipeline project. With Mr. Balmos' knowledge and early contributions to the OADA and Trellis projects, his primary engagements will be related to data systems, translation layers, and AGAPECert development.

Alex Layton

Alex has been instrumental in the architecting and refining of the OADA and Trellis codebase and has implemented and maintained global enterprise infrastructure with demanding compliance requirements. Dr. Layton is integral to the system administration, software development, and IT operations foundational to the enterprise installation, maintenance, and interoperability objectives of several Qlever projects.

Sam Noel

Sam is a trained agricultural engineer turned software developer. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from Purdue University. Sam’s expertise includes agricultural system modeling, decision support tool development, interoperability software solutions, soil science, and hydrology. Sam is technical lead and contributor to the MODUS soil lab data standard and Trellis open source projects.

Dennis Buckmaster

Professor Dennis Buckmaster serves as an investment partner and advisory contributor to The Qlever Company.

James Krogmeier

Professor James Krogmeier serves as an investment partner and advisory contributor to The Qlever Company.

Drew Zabrocki

Drew Zabrocki serves in a volunteer capacity as a subject matter advisor to The Qlever Company. He has founded, scaled, and exited multiple best-in-class technology companies. He is currently a GM at Semios with a focus on value chain insights and interoperability. He has a breadth of product strategy, go-to-market, technology, and in-field subject matter expertise. Mr. Zabrocki has recently served as an IFPA Board Member, the chairperson of the IFPA Supply Chain Technology Committee, Advisor to Linux Foundations' AgStack project, and on the Executive Council of ASTM’s F49 Standards Committee on Data Interoperability and Sovereignty in Supply Chains.
